Boston - Chapter One
Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 2:11PM I proudly present the first chapter of Boston, a project I've been working on for a while, and hope to bring to print some day. But I can't see any reason why I can't share the first chapter. My collaborators are Kalle Malloy on art and Charles Pritchett doing letters and a lot of production work. Eventually, I may have some color pages from Jordan Boyd to share with you, but the black and white version will have to do for now.
There shouldn't be much you need to know about this going in. The year is 1875, and John "Boston" Connolly is on the rampage across the US with his gang, seeking vengeance against Harrison Byers. There are secrets to be revealed and lives to be shattered even more than they already are.
I hope you enjoy.

Very cool - huge congrats.
Very fun read. I love the twist on the post Civil War outlaw - everything I've read always has them be ex-Confederate. Ex-Union adds a great spice to it. Congrats to the whole team.
Very nice works gents. Nothin' better than a western comic and a cup o' cowboy coffee to start your mornin' off right.
Tip my hat and raise my glass to the lot of ya.

This was a nice read... I can appreciate when someone invokes the Pinkertons. Kalle's layouts were delightful!
Very interesting. Good work.
One other option for those having trouble reading the text is to use the magnifier in the accessibility folder in the start menu (on Windows PCs).
Oh, that was really, really excellent, and extremely professional. I found myself forgetting, as I read through the PDF, that this WASN'T a comic I'd just bought in the store. The interweaving of the flashbacks and the present action is expertly done, and you've really got me hooked, eager to know what happens next with these characters and just what went wrong between the friends-turned-enemies. Awesome work.
Awesome work there. Say the word and you'll be getting my money for this issue.
