Manga Josh!

This comes courtesy of my friend and collaborator Doug Hills, because I needed a drawn profile pic for something.  He says he doesn't think it looks like manga much at all.  It might be true, because I don't see a single speed line.  I might just be manga illiterate. 

Either way, I dig it.  My wife says it looks like a sleazy version of me.

I can see Josh in there, but it's like he's trapped inside the Seth Green version of Parallax. Creepy, but kind of awesome.

Because I had his hair darker initially, and he told me: "make me blonder! BLONDER!!"

Or something to that effect.

Funny thing is I was struggling w/ the Seth Green thing too. I think I gave him too much hair.

You know what's funny? I've had manga fans tell me that they don't see the manga influence in my work or that it's not manga enough.

I guess I'm an artist without a genre. *tear*
