If the temperature is above freezing: mud
Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at 10:16AM Until it's summer, I am one of the few New Yorkers (Can I call myself that? Did I just?) who's wakes up and hopes it's below 32 degrees. Most mornings, I take George to the park to play with the other dogs, and when it's warmer, the whole place is basically a mudbowl. George, of course, doesn't mind this a bit. So the morning process is lengthened some, because I have to scrub him down after we get back. He's close to the ground, so he gets pretty dirty.
This is right after getting back. He doesn't look that dirty.

However, the upper portion can be decieving. Witness the grime!

Now, into the tub. Notice the nice cleanish water.

This is a little more like it. The water is like like toxic sludge. What you can't see are the little flecks of brown all over the walls and me, from the shaking off

"Is this clean enough for you? Can I go now?"

Are you getting a sense of just how dirty this was?

Now, someone gets to go off and enjoy his breakfast....

And I've got to clean this up.

I consider myself lucky, because he actually doesn't mind being in the bath, and he's not too big. Still, he loves to run around in the mud, and it could be a long spring.
