That's a nice Cap page right there
Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 6:27PM I just wanted to share one of my favorite pages from the short Captain America spec story I'm doing with Kalle Malloy. The dude is drawing his ass off, and I love the clean look of his work.
By the way, if anyone wants to take a crack at coloring this, I'd love to see what you can do.

That IS a great looking Cap page.
So are we all going to be able to get a look at the finished work when you, Calle and (eventual) crew are done? Or is this really more of a piece you're just doing as practice for yourselves?
That looks awesome! I kind of love that Steve's wearing a uniform shirt (?) jacket (?) something with a pocket (?) -- presumably over his chain mail. Which makes you kind of wonder why the guy with super strength got to go into battle with chain mail when your average GI, not so much. I suppose the government is protecting its investment.
Anyway, again, thanks to you and Kalle for sharing your work.
Thanks guys! There's a reason he's got the uniform on.
When the story is done, I'll put it up for everyone to read. This is just a practice piece we're doing, that paved the way for an all new original project we're doing, hopefully for publication.
wow...looks really nice. Can't wait to see the finished story
Nice work, guys! Can't wait to see this finished project, Kalle!
Very well done...this looks great, you should be proud of yourselves. When you're done with your orginal project I promise now in writing to buy at least 5 copies...Keep it up!
Really nice! I'm excited for you, Josh!
Nice find on pencils! Good luck breaking it out, dudes.
Gorgeous art, my friend.
Is this legit? I'd buy it.
Jim, No, it's just a spec project. It'll never be published for real. But when the story is done, I'll post all the pages on here.
Is it set in the Battle of the Bulge or non specific? It just reminds me of that episode of Band of Brothers.
If you need a letterer for this story I may have time to do it depending on your timeline. Love the art!
I was reading a Stephen Ambrose book when I wrote it, so you're not that far off. Yeah, think France in late 1944, early 1945.
Thanks Kris!
